Adrian Toomes (of Earth-26496), also known as Vulture, is an alternate version of Adrian Toomes and enemy to Spider-Man.

History

Hopes and Dreams

Adrian was an aerodynamics engineer who developed a electromagnetic winged harness that allows the person who wears it to fly and presented it to Oscorp. Norman Osborn rejected Adrian's designs, crushing his dreams.

Four months later, Norman announced that his Oscorp business was in the process of making "Flight Tech" a clear rip from Adrian's design. Adrian threatens to go public with the fact that he made "Flight Tech" but Norman not only refuses to apologize, but goes on to say that no one would believe him for making such an advanced system, considering how old he is.

Becoming the Vulture

Adrian made a suit with built-in metallic wings and talons, with his anti-gravity technology incorporated to it and called himself the Vulture. He swore revenge on Norman for taking his idea. Adrian eventually caught up with Norman, demanding that he announce to everyone that Norman stole Adrian's idea for the flight technology, reimburse him all the money he deserves and an apology. Norman refuses to all terms, only to have Spider-Man get in Adrian's way twice to prevent him from hurting Norman or anyone else.

Joining the Sinister Six

Adrian soon joined up with Doctor Octopus' team, the Sinister Six. Along with Rhino, Sandman, Electro and Shocker, they all team up to defeat a common enemy, Spider-Man.

At first, the Sinister Six defeated Spider-Man, no problem. However, Spider-Man then come back with a black costume and knocked the Vulture unconsciousness, along with defeating the rest of the Sinister Six.

When the new Sinister Six formed with new additions Kraven and Myterio, Vulture tried to take Spider-Man down while teamed with Electro. However, Adrian's paranoia from what happened in the last fight with the became his downfall and he was defeated.

Vulture was with Doc Ock at a meeting when Silver Sable got poisoned. Vulture tried to protect Otto, only to get shot down by Hammerhead.

He was last seen getting away from the police.

• This version of Adrian Toomes got his Vulture name from Norman Osborn calling him a buzzard and Adrian mistaking the name.
