History[]
Vulture found a fragment of the Tablet of Order and Chaos and learned that Spider-Man was searching for it from his goons after Hammerhead's defeat. He used his henchmen to distract Spider-Man while he delivered the fragment to Osborn, becoming more and more frightened and curious about if he should take the piece to Osborn.
Spider-Man took Vulture's henchmen out and cornered him in an abandoned building. Spider-Man discovered that Vulture was sensitive to light, so he used spotlights to shine light on him. This weakened Vulture, allowing Spider-Man to defeat him. Vulture tried to escape, but Spider-Man grabbed him and the two fell to the street. The fall knocked Spider-Man unconscious, and Vulture left him in the train tracks to be crushed by the incoming train. However, Spider-Man escaped and followed Vulture. However, Vulture gathered a group of hostages, ordering his henchmen to kill them if Spider-Man interfered. Spider-Man rescued the hostages and followed Vulture to a building. However, Vulture used molotov cocktails to set the building on fire, with several innocent people in danger. Spider-Man saved them and caught up with Vulture.
By this time, Vulture's fear of Spider-Man and disdain of working for Osborn had reached their limits and he decided to use the fragment for himself so he may never be a lackey again. Spider-Man unfortunately arrived too late to stop him from activating the fragment and had to fight off the carnivorous loon, who had gained the ability to teleport in a puff of black feathers. Using a reflector to shine light on Vulture, Spider-Man defeated him and obtained the fragment while gaining vengeance for his Uncle Ben at the same time with his victory.
As shown by the credits, Vulture has been put back in his cage at the circus and is downtrodden.
