Alex O'Hirn (of Earth-12041), better known as the Rhino, is a student at Midtown High. Alex became the target for Flash's bullying after Flash stopped bullying Peter. Alex used a experimental mutigen developed by Doctor Octopus to become the Rhino and take his revenge on Flash. As of recent events, Alex joined Spider-Man's team of young heroes.
Alexander O'Hirn aka Alex, is a student at Midtown High School. He is a smart, intellectual student at Midtown, but is constantly bullied by football star player, Flash Thompson. To make things worse, he feels as if he is alone and everybody is against him. Eventually his anger begins to boil over and he abruptly says he will get revenge on Flash. Flash, of course, disregards this and continues on with his day.
Rise of the Rhino
At the same time, recently a new villain named the Rhino, begins showing up around NYC, directly attacking and stealing biological serums from Oscorp trucks. Spider-Man and Power-Man have been trying to catch the Rhino, but even Power-Man is no match for the Rhino's brute strength. In their first encounter, Rhino defeats Spider-Man and Power-Man as he steals the biological serums for unknown purposes.
Rhino appears once more to rob an Oscorp train. But not for money, no. He is trying to steal more of the biological serums. Spider-Man and Power-Man are there to stop him, but to no avail. Not only does the Rhino overpower them both physically, but he also badly injures Power-Man in his leg. Spider-Man tries to fight Rhino alone, but Rhino escapes with the still unknown biological serums, apparently more than last time.
Time For Revenge
Peter Parker begins to have suspicions on how Alex might secretly be the Rhino. He sees Flash push Alex to the side, and sees Alex run off. Peter changes into Spider-Man, and sees Alex hiding behind a bus. He watches as Alex injects himself with a biological serum, the same one that the Rhino had been stealing. Alex transforms into the Rhino, and chases after Flash. Spider-Man manages to save Flash by getting him on a bus, and distracting the Rhino. Spider-Man swings away, and Rhino continues his pursuit of Flash.
Alex ( right now the Rhino) finally tracks down Flash to Flash's house, which is really a junkyard. Spider-Man at first couldn't believe this, but it is true: Flash's family struggles, and they live in the dump. Alex, however, shows no remorse, and still attacks Flash. Spider-Man intervenes and keeps Alex distracted. Flash watches all this go down, and finally sees how bad he hurt Alex.
He ends up feeling so bad, he almost sacrifices himself to Alex, but Spidey rescues Flash from being pummeled. Eventually Spider-Man defeats Alex and with the serum used up now, Alex reverts back to normal. S.H.I.E.L.D comes in and takes Alex away. Flash apologises to Alex as he's being taken on the helicarrier.
