Benjamin "Ben" Parker (of Earth-26496), usually called Uncle Ben, was a loving husband to his wife May and surrogate father to his orphaned nephew Peter.
History[]
Following the deaths of his brother Richard Parker and sister-in-law Mary Parker, Ben and his wife May took in their young nephew Peter into their Forest Hills home.
When Peter Parker as Spider-Man didn't stop a burglar, the same man shot and killed Uncle Ben after breaking into their home. Uncle Ben's death forever propelled Peter into the role of a superhero.
Later during his career as Spider-Man, Peter uses the memory of his Uncle Ben to help him get rid of the venom symbiote.
