The Carnage Symbiote (of Earth-12041) was a creation of Norman Osborn/Goblin after his son, Harry, failed as Venom. Taking some of the symbiote from Venom, the Goblin injected Peter Parker with the symbiote, directly into his bloodstream, giving the symbiote its red color, because of Peter’s Blood.

His powers are akin to those of the classic Cletus Kassidy Carnage.
Development[]
Carnage was Peter Parker, but Carnage followed the orders of the Goblin. Carnage was tasked to find Spider-man and destroy him, but since Peter was Carnage, that was not possible. Carnage attacked several S.H.E.I.L.D. agents, but was finally stopped by Harry Osborn because he could control the Venom aspect still left in Carnage. The Venom/Carnage/Harry was more in control of his Harry half.
