When Charlie was just a little kid, his parents died in a car crash, leaving him to be raised by his Uncle Ben. Sadly, Uncle Ben was abusive and Charlie ran away to live on the streets. Charlie was a troubled child and ended up getting arrested at a young age. At 13, after spending years in juvenile detention, Charlie acquired spider-powers and became Spider-Kid. As Spider-Kid, Charlie preyed on gang members and drug dealers, taking their money to survive.
