Chris Yost is an American film, animation, and comic book writer. He is best known for his work as the head writer of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes animated series and as the co-writer of New X-Men and X-Force comic book series.
Career[]
Chris Yost began his career in writing as a intern at Marvel Comics' west coast office in 2002. The Marvel executives were impressed by his spec film scripts and hired him to write some of the episodes on X-Men: Evolution. His biggest contribution to the show was the mutant character X-23, the female clone of Wolverine, co-created by him and the man who would become his frequent collaborator, Craig Kyle. Chris Yost was later asked to adapt a version of his X-23 for the comics due by the Marvel executives to the popularity of his character.
Due to the success of his chracter X-23 and his work on X-Men: Evolution, Chris went on to write for various Marvel and DC series over the years including Fantastic Four: World's Greatest Heroes, X-Men, X-Force, The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes, The Batman, and Red Robin
Chris began writing for Spider-Man in 2005 with 9th issue of Spider-Man Unlimited Vol. 3. Chris' biggest contribution to the world of Spider-Man was co-creating Scarlet Spider Vol. 2 in 2012 which stars Peter Parker's clone Kaine. Chris also personally wrote all the episodes of The Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes that Spider-Man appeared in.
Chris is set to be on of the writers for the upcoming Marvel feature film Thor: The Dark World.
