Shortly after a press conference stating Steve Rogers' sentence, Tony Stark was attacked and killed by Tom Foster, who blamed Stark for his uncle's death.
With the world, mourning the death of Tony Stark, the Skrulls descended upon Earth to begin their Invasion. As Uatu watched the Skrull ships headed towards Earth, he said, "It wasn't supposed to be this way..." as the story ends.
