History

Origin

Born with an odd blood disorder due to his mother, Jessica Drew's, radiation-based powers, Gerald “Gerry” Drew was dying. Jessica was unwilling to let her child die and recreated the experiment that made her Spider-Woman in an attempt to save him. It did not cure him, but endowed him with his own spider-based abilities.

Gerry, determined to make his short life worth something, decides to take up the mantle of Spider-Man. He makes his own costume based on Spider-Man’s (since he felt his mother’s costume would be too difficult to adapt) and convinced his mother to train him.

Heroic Career

As Spider-Man, Gerry's first appearance was when he introduced himself to the Daily Bugle much to J.Jonah Jameson and Peter Parker's shock.A short time later, he meets Spider-Girl, and they do not get along as Spider-Girl dint like him wearing a version of her father’s costume. Jessica and Julia Carpenter asked Peter Parker to intervene as Gerry was worsening his illness by using his powers. Becoming Spider-Man once more, Peter convinced Gerry to retire until his illness was finally cured.

Powers

As Spider-Man, Gerry was superhumanly strong and could leap great distances. He could cling to walls and climb vertical surfaces. Spinnerets in his wrists allowed him to fire organic webbing.
