Heroes for Hire (the Knight & Wing team of Earth-616) is a team originally formed to take down Steve Rogers during Civil War.
History[]
Early history[]
During the Civil War event, heroes Misty Knight and Colleen Wing were told by Iron Man, Reed Richards, and Spider-Man to start up another Heroes for Hire team with the mission of finding heroes that did not comply with the active Superhuman Registration Act.
The two then created a team including themselves Shang-Chi, Humbug, Orka, Black Cat, Paladin and a new Tarantula, with Spider-Man as an often ally.
Disband[]
After the events of World War Hulk, the team disbanded due to recent deaths in the team and conflicting ideas on how the team should work.
Rebirth[]
After her escape from Puppet Master, Misty Knight created a new Heroes for Hire team that hired Spider-Man in their first mission against Batroc the Leaper.
