J.A.R.V.I.S., an acronym for Just A Really Very Intelligent System, is an AI butler created by Tony Stark.

J.A.R.V.I.S. was created by Tony Stark at an unknown point to act his personal butler and to help him run his more complicated inventions, such as his various armors. When the New Avengers fail-safe protocol was inticiated, control and ownership of J.A.R.V.I.S. was transfered to Spider-Man, so he could by more effective at leading the New Avengers. After Iron Man and the rest of the Avengers were rescued by the New Avwengers, Spider-Man returned control of J.A.R.V.I.S. to Iron Man.

J.A.R.V.I.S. was created by Tony Stark at an unknown point to act his personal butler and to help him run his more complicated inventions, such as his various armors. When Tony designed the Iron Spider Armor for Spider-Man, he added the J.A.R.V.I.S. software to the armor.
