James Howlett (of Earth-1610) was an alternate version of Wolverine.
He was killed by Magneto during the Ultimatium Wave.
Appearance[]
Wolverine's appearance is slightly different from his mainstream counterpart.
His hair does not have the signature fork hairstyle that the mainstream or cinematic version of Wolverine has. His costumes are extremely different, however. His costumes are normally mostly black with small part of yellow, that are sleeveless, similar to the infamous brown and tan costume.
His Ultimate costumes are similar to the X-Men costume seen in the numbered film series.
History[]
James was mutant whose power was an accelerated healing factor, and wooden claws that he could pop in and out whatever he wanted to.
Early life[]

Earlier in his life, he was in the Canadian army during World War II with Private Nicholas Fury and Private Fisk, who the latter was killed in combat.
Weapon X Program[]
James awakes in the Weapon X complex where he is under experimentation by Dr. Abraham Cornelius; who is working for the Canadian government to help them to create their own version of Captain America.
James escapes from complex, but is shot down and he heals, only to be recaptured again. While experimenting on James, he discovers a genome that altered people's abilities based on their DNA, Abraham decides to call these altered people "mutants", and James is dubbed "Mutant Zero". This results in the creation of the mutant race. Erik Lensherr was terrified at how James was being treated and killed his parents, and set James free.
Dirty Work[]

Saving Nick Fury
James was captured by John Wraith and erased James memory and gave him the fake name, "Logan". During this time, he was put back in the Weapon X program and his skeleton was bonded with Adamantium, and Logan was tormented by John and his men.
He was forced to work with Victor Creed, a fellow captive he started to hate due his liking of the violate nature Logan and Victor was forced to do.
Logan met up with Nick Fury, during the Gulf War in a desert. Some part of Logan remembered Nick Fury and saved him. Logan was shot and recaptured. With the help of Nick Fury, Logan escaped.
He joined Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutant Supremacy, and became Magneto's best assassin.
Joining the X-Men[]
18 months later, Logan was assigned to assassinate Professor Xavier by fake joining the X-Men. However, he seduced Jean Grey in hopes of getting closer to the team. However, he accidentally fell in love with Jean and was devastated when Jean left him when she found out the true connection between Logan and Magneto's Brotherhood. Soon after, he actually joined the X-Men as the hero, Wolverine, after he understood Xavier's cause.
Death[]
During the Ultimatum Wave, he vowed to kill Magneto for killing Xavier by snapping his neck. As Wolverine lunged at Erik, only for the Adamantium to be removed from separated from his body.

"Then. Die. Now."
