Spider-Woman died at the hands of Norman Osborn and his Hydra parasites that turned her corpse into a squid-like zombie. While her body was under Osborn's control, Spider-Woman was a deadly mildess soldier, until the parasitic Hydra possessing her was banished to Limbo. With the destruction of her body, Spider-Woman's soul was reborn in the Realm of the Dead. There she was recruited by Mar-Vell to form a team with the souls of other fallen superheroes and overthrow Death herself. After succeeding, Spider-Woman was free to travel to Paradise where she continued to fight against evil on the spiritual planes.
