Marc Preston Webb (born on August 31st, 1974) is an American film director. Before making his feature film directorial debut in 2009 with the romantic comedy (500) Days of Summer, for which he received critical acclaim, Webb primarily worked on music videos and short films.
In 2012, he directed the Spider-Man reboot, The Amazing Spider-Man. He directed the film's sequel, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, which released in the United States in May 2014, and is directing the third film in the franchise.

- After his first film, Marc Webb was in a deal to make films for Fox. However, this deal fell short and he ended up making Spider-Man films for Sony. To make up for this broken deal, Fox had Marc attach free footage for X-Men: Days of Future Past to the end of The Amazing Spider-Man 2.
