Martha "Mattie" Franklin (of Earth-616), alternatively known as the 3rd Spider-Woman, is a fictional hero character in the Marvel Comics universe.
History[]
Mattie took part in a mystical ceremony where she received the powers of super-strength and flight. Mattie used her powers to impersonate Spider-Man until Spider-Man himself told her to stop. However she soon appeared again as Spider-Woman wearing a female version of Spider-man's costume. After she was attacked by the evil Charlotte Witter (who was also calling herself Spider-Woman), she and fellow Spider-Women Jessica Drew and Julia Carpenter were stripped of their powers. Mattie was able to absorb all the stolen powers back into her body along with the powers of Charlotte Witter. Now possessing the powers of all the Spider-Women, Mattie trained to be the one true Spider-Woman under the tutelage of Jessica Drew and Charlotte's own grandmother, Madame Web. She fought crime bravely until her death at the hands of Ana Kravinoff.

- Pyschic Spider-Legs - A power absorbed from Charlotte Witter, Mattie can use psychic energy to manifest four spider-like legs from her back. They can be used to grab objects or carry Mattie up walls.
- Psychic Stingers- A variation of the venom blast power she absorbed from Jessica Drew, Mattie can fire psychic bursts from her spider-legs that damage an enemy's mind
