Marvel's Avengers is a 2020 superhero video game developed by Crystal Dynamics based on the Marvel team of the same name. The game was released on September 4th, 2020 on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, PC and Google Stadia and re-released on the Xbox Series X/S and PlayStation 5 on March 18th, 2021.
On January 20th, 2023, Crystal Dynamics announced that they would no longer be supporting the game after September 30th, 2023.[1]
Plot[]
- The game starts on A-Day, where the Avengers celebrate the opening of their headquarters in San Francisco, as well as their own helicarrier, the Chimera. The event is interrupted by an attack, led by Taskmaster and leads to the Terrigen crystal powering the Chimera, being destroyed as well as the death of Captain America. The aftermath leaves San Francisco covered in Terrigen mist and destroying the city and giving numerous people superpowers and ultimately leads to the Avengers disbanding. 5 years later, Kamala Khan, who attended A-Day, attempts to re-assemble the Avengers.
