Peter Parker (of Earth-19529) was Spider-Man in a universe where he aged in real time from the 60's to the present day.

History[]

1960s[]

in 1966 Peter had been Spider-Man for 4 years and was dealing with anxiety over the war in Vietnam after several heroes joined the fray. His childhood bully, Flash Thompson, had joined the army to be a hero like Spider-Man (which filled Peter with guilt). As a college student, Peter was able to avoid the draft and was working on building a relationship with Gwen Stacy. However at Flash's going-away party, Peter was attacked by Norman Osborn who had become Green Goblin again and had deduced Peter's secret identity. In the ensuing battle, Norman suffered a head injury and forgot he was Green Goblin. Peter still turned him over to the authorities.

1970s[]

Peter had married Gwen Stacy and was working with Reed Richards. His former foe Doctor Octopus had married Peter's Aunt May and worked in the same lab as Peter and Reed. When visiting his wife at her job at Miles Warren's laboratory, they were suddenly attacked by Norma's son, Harry, who had become the Black Goblin. During the attack, Peter uncovered a secret room of stasis pods in Warren's lab, pods containing clones of Peter, Gwen, and Norman Osborn that Warren had created at Norman's request. Driven mad at the realization that his father wanted a clone of Peter to be his heir, Harry killed the clones of Norman and Gwen. Peter was able to save his own clone and stop the Black Goblin. But to his horror, Warren revealed to Peter that the woman in the pod wasn't the clone of Gwen Stacy, but was in fact the real Gwen. Adding to the horror of realizing the real Gwen was dead, he told Peter he had been married to a clone all along. Learning that she was a clone led the other Gwen to divorce Peter and marry his clone, now called Ben Parker, and change her name to Helen.

1980s[]

Peter had married Mary Jane Watson and was about to be a father when he was abducted by the Beyonder and made to fight in the Secret War. He was able to return after Mary Jane had given birth to their twins, Benjamin and Claire. But he didn't return alone, he had bonded with the Venom symbiote. When Mary Jane expressed horror at the alien, Peter separated from it, only to be shot and buried alive by Kraven the Hunter. The symbiote re-bonded to Peter, transforming him into Venom. Venom would have killed Kraven had Mary Jane not shot Peter with a sonic blaster. They returned home to find that Aunt May, who was now in her 90's and suffering from dementia, had forgotten where she was and ran off with the twins and had to be detained by the police. When Mary Jane told Peter to put May in a senior living facility, he refused. Mary Jane, furious at having to take care of her babies and Peter's elderly aunt alone, then divorced Peter and took the kids, leaving him to be Aunt May's sole caretaker.

1990s[]

Peter was now the head of his own tech company and in a relationship with Jessica Jones. He was abducted by an elderly Doctor Octopus who was grieving over the death of Aunt May and blamed Peter for their earlier divorce. Doctor Octopus had also kidnapped Peter's clone Ben Parker (now calling himself Ben Reilly) to see if Harry Osborn's technology could be used to take their DNA and reverse engineer a clone body to put his brain into. Octopus told Peter that he was the clone and Ben was the real Peter Parker. The knowledge of being the real Peter drove Ben mad and he broke free from Doctor Octopus's restraints and beat the villain senseless. But before he passed out, Octopus managed to kill Harry Osborn. A grieving Peter decided to quit being Spider-Man, passing the mantle to Ben. Peter then found Norman Osborn, telling him he knew Norman manipulated the DNA scans and that Ben was still the clone. He then told Norman that Harry had been killed and the anger made Norman have a heart attack and he died instantly. With Ben acting as Spider-Man, and his oldest enemy dead, Peter left New York and reconciled with Mary Jane and his children.

2000s[]

Hunting for Spider-Totems, Morlun killed Ben Reilly after revealing that Ben was actually the clone. Meanwhile, Peter was embroiled in a fight with President Tony Stark over the events of Civil War. Morlun was able to find Peter's kids, Benjamin and Claire. The twins fought Morlun with their own spider-powers, but Morlun was able to critically Benjamin before he himself was killed by Claire.

2019[]

Doctor Doom had taken over the world. Peter, his daughter Claire (who had now become Spider-Woman), and his new partner Miles Morales (the third Spider-Man) were Earth's last surviving superheroes. Peter and Miles went on a mission to destroy Doom's satellite base. They were attacked by the corpse of Kraven that had been reanimated by the Venom symbiote before Miles revealed that he had been possessed by the mind of Otto Octavius. Miles/Otto attacked Peter and used a psychic probe to pull Peter into his own mind. There, Peter was able to use the memories of Aunt May to create a psionic "ghost" that used Otto's love for her to release his hold on Miles. The satellite began to self-destruct and Peter sacrificed himself to ensure that Miles could escape in the only life pod. On Earth, Mary Jane gave Miles Peter's first Spider-Man costume so he could honor Peter's memory.
