"Can I be your sidekick?"
— Spider-Man to Captain America

Peter Parker (of Earth-8096) also known as the hero Spider-Man, is an alternate version of Spider-Man who is a reserve member of the Avengers and the leader of the New Avengers

History[]

Early life[]

Not much is know about the early life of this version of Peter Parker, except that at some point in time, he was bitten by a radioactive spider, and gained the powers of a spider.

After his Uncle Ben was murdered, Peter became Spider-Man as another hero in New York City.

Speaking With Your Actions[]

While trying to clear Captain America's name, Tony Stark and J. Jonah Jameson were talking and JJ called Peter to get an interview with Captain America in attempt to clear his name.

After taking photos, Peter tried to get some additional information from Cap with no progress. When the van was attacked, Peter ran away to change into Spider-Man.

While underground, Captain America and Spider-Man are the only heroes trying to guide people to safety, with various people not wanting to follow Captain America since he apparently betrayed America during the Skrull invasion.

Captain America ignores them and tells them to come or be left, while Spider-Man asks why isn't Cap defending himself from the people and various media outlets. Captain America tells Spider-Man that it does not matter what people, newspaper or any media says, you have to do the right thing, not with your words, but your actions.

After Spider-Man asks to be Captain America's sidekick, the Serpent Society shows to up with Spider-Man and Captain America defeating them and saving everyone.

Captain America and Spider-Man are later on a roof, having a conversation with it ending by Spider-Man suggesting that he web up J. Jonah Jameson's mouth.

The New Avenger[]

After a battle with Kang the Concerer, the Avengers were seemingly killed in action with Tony Stark voice activating the New Avengers protocol at the last second. This protocol set up a distress call to a select amount of heroes that would form the New Avengers, led by Spider-Man.

After defeating dinosaurs, the New Avengers form, with much growing pains leading some to believe the team won't work. However, Spider-Man leads the New Avengers to make the old Avengers come back, after they were thought dead.

Iron Man is then talking to Spider-Man telling of how good he did as a leader, and offering him a full-time member as an Avenger.

Spider-Man is seen at Hank Pym's funeral and last seen defending the earth from Galactus, along with many other heroes.

Trivia[]

  • Much like the Ultimate Peter Parker, as stated in the Along Came a Spider episode, Peter says he mostly works on the Daily Bugle's website. However, he is also a photographer as seen in the next scene riding with Captain America and Betty Brant.
  • Peter is a big fan of Captain America, and seems to respect him more than any other hero.
