- While it doesn't have the same name as its comic book counterpart due to it being run by S.H.I.E.L.D. instead of the Avengers, S.H.I.E.L.D. Academy is meant to be an alternate version of Avengers Academy.
- Spider-Man's position at the school is unique due to the fact that he is both a student and the acting principal of the academy due to Nick Fury's absence.
