The issue starts with Tony Stark, Hank Pym and Reed Richards examining Elektra who has been revealed to have been a Skrull the whole time. The Skrulls are a shapeshifting race that conquers worlds one by one. Discovering Elektra is a Skrull leads Stark to believe that the Skrulls have been planning am invasion for some time now. Stark tells Reed and Hank to examine Elektra and see what that can discover, but also points out that even though they are two of the smartest people in the world, he doesn't know if he can trust them completely, but they have to stop the invasion because it's just beginning.
