Wadey Wilson (of Earth-1610), better known as Deadpool, is a human supremacist hired by the Genoshan government to hunt down mutants on live television as a sport.

History[]

Early Life[]

Wadey Wilson was a soldier in the army and was sent on several missions, including one to Wakanda. After surviving a death-defying incident in the Wakanda War in the early nineties, he took the name Deadpool. Deadpool's true face had no skin and portions of his skull were missing, covered by a clear plastic helmet that made his face appear human-shaped when masked. Deadpool was a human supremacist hired by the Genoshan government to hunt down mutants on live television.

The Reavers were a group of high-tech assassins assembled by the government to hunt down and kill mutants on live TV. Deadpool was chosen to lead them, since he was a supremacist.

Ultimate Deadpool Unmasked

Deadpool unmasked

Deadpool was one of the Reavers who assaulted the X-Men's X-Mansion. He and his team disguised as the X-Men and surprise them one by one with mutant-gene targeting stun guns. After capturing the X-Men, Deadpool also captured Spider-Man hen visited the mansion, as a "bonus".

Spider-Man and the X-Men went to Krakoa, Deadpool showed some respect to Spider-Man's secret identity after stopping one of his men from unmasking him, possibly due to Deadpool's odd amount of "respect" to mask wearers.

When Deadpool was unmasked it appeared that he was Professor X, but this was quickly proved to be a holographic disguised, which Spider-Man could easily see through with his Spider-Sense. Eventually, Spider-Man unmasked Deadpool's true facial identity, much to the shock and surprise towards Spider-Man and the X-Men, while being broadcast live on television. This enraged Deadpool, causing him to fire his guns in a frenzy until Kitty Pryde phased through him, seemingly causing him to explode and apparently killing him. However, Deadpool miraculously survived, as his battered figure appeared on Krakoa's shore as he watched the X-Men and Spider-Man leaving the island.

Evil Deadpool Corps[]

Wadey later joined the Evil Deadpool Corps led by Evil Deadpool (AKA Dreadpool) to help him kill alternate versions of himself. The mainstream Deadpool later killed him by stabbing him.

Deadpool-275635

Deadpool as he appears in Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions.

  • In 2010, the Ultimate version of Deadpool was featured as a boss character for the 2010 game, Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions. He had his Ultimate costume, but acted like his Earth-616 counterpart. Also, he became taller than the original Spider-Man. In this reality, Deadpool survived his fight against Spider-Man and the X-Men, and made his own reality TV show named Pain Factor (possibly a reference to his healing factor). According to his bio, the whole "dying" thing kind of irked him, and he eventually decided to chance slaughter Spidey during the show's broadcasting, and watch it again on reruns.

Trivia[]

  • Likely as an ode to fans, in issue #93 of Ultimate Spider-Man, his subtitles on television while he appears talking are uniquely yellow as a reference to the mainstream Deadpool's yellow speech bubbles, and furthermore he breaks the fourth wall only to television audiences.
  • In his Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions bio, it states that after his first encounter with Spider-Man, he went crazy and now believes that he is a video game character and he is living in world inside a video game. This seems to be why he will often break the fourth wall and talk to the player in-game.
